With the fourth season of the Emmy-award winning comedy 30 Rock riding high on Comedy Central we thought it was about time we asked you guys for your favourite moments from this stellar comedy.
A while back we asked you on Facebook and Twitter to let us know your favourite 30 Rock moments and we’ve compiled the answers into a Top 10 rundown. Because we’re clever like that.
30 Rock does montages like nobody’s business. This favourite, from Series 4, shows what happens when The Girlie Show held open auditions for a new cast member. Anyone, and we mean anyone, could audition.
In an episode featuring David Schwimmer as super annoying champion of the Earth, ‘Greenzo’, we’re treated to a flashback montage of an epic party at Kenneth’s featuring one of the best monologues in the series…
“You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Mr. Lutz, you ate all my parakeet’s medication, and thanks to you Sunny Crocket has been having seizures all morning.
“Mr. Hornberger, I would thank you to come pick up your wife at some point. Mr. Jordan, I saw you steal my sink. Harlem Globetrotter, does that name mean nothing to you?
“And Miss Lemon, I will have you know that before last night I had never ever seen Grizz or DotCom cry. I want you all to think about what you did. [slow clapping]
“Congratulations. You were all present at Kenneth Parcell’s last party ever!
Poor Kenneth!
8 – A Bit of Tit – Season 3, Episode 9
One for the boys here (especially Justin Bieber apparently…).
After Jack accidentally had his hideous ‘psych-up’ speech broadcasted to a group of stuffy business types from a toilet via his live microphone, Liz comes to the rescue in an attempt to deflect Jack’s embarrassment.
So what does she do? Flashes the audience a bit of cleavage in a classic Lemon-style dance. Needless to say she was never allowed at another conference again. Classic.

A timeless entry now at number seven from the first season of 30 Rock.
After lying about being in AA to meet a guy, Liz tries to make amends with Floyd by confessing all her deepest secrets, including the fact that she pooped her pants a little bit at a country steaks all-you-can-eat buffet and didn’t leave until she finished her second plate of shrimp. Eww.
Nothing like a bit of catharsis to start off a relationship…!
Another hilarious Jack Donaghy addition to the top 10.
In an already classic 30 Rock moment, Jack helps Tracy along with his ‘Daddy issues’ by acting out all the members of his family.
It’s slightly offensive, but majorly funny.
We hope we don’t have to explain what a MILF is (it’s a tad naughty and soooo 10 years ago), but the fictional promo of ‘NBC’s newest hit reality show’ came in at number 5.
The premise? “25 super hot moms. 50 eighth-grade boys. No rules.”
Brilliant!
Showing a bit of Liz’s evil side comes this moment from Season 1.
When TGS cast member Josh tries to take advantage of Liz and Jack during his salary negotiations, he’s put thoroughly in his place when Liz makes him and his lawyer imitate a crab and the worm while spouting off 5 reasons why Liz is a better person.
Liz: Do the worm! (Josh looks confused) Do the worm!
Jack: The worm! Good God Lemon, that’s so degrading. Are it’s origins German?
Liz: Now say five reasons I’m better than you!
Josh: You’re smarter than me!
Liz: One!
Josh: You beat me at arm wrestling!
Liz: Two!
Josh: You read the paper!
Liz: Yeah suck it, I do read the paper!
Josh’s Agent: Do you want me to do anything?
Liz: Be a crab! Fight the worm!
Jack: Wow, Liz you took this like a natural!…Okay, the crab is getting aroused. Shut it down. Shut it down.
Dr Spaceman – Season 3, Episode 8
While pretty much everything that comes out of quack-ish Dr.Spaceman (pronounced Spe-che-men) is worth its weight in gold, viewers voted this quote from Series 3 as the most memorable:
“When is modern science going to find a cure for a woman’s mouth?”
We didn’t say it…it’s your top 10!
Drunk Liz is fun!
In Season 2, Liz is bidding on a swanky New York apartment, but when she doesn’t hear back from the Co-Op board, she goes a little ‘girl crazy’.
In her drunken insecurities she’s eventually found singing Alanis Morissette’s ‘You Oughta Know’ into the Co-op’s answer phone.

A lot of us do things we regret when we’re young, but none so embarrassing as Liz’s phone sex commercial, or erm – ‘chat line for urban singles’.
